Death notices and funeral arrangements in Carlow - Monday 11th September 2023

The death has occurred of Michael (Mickey) Connors of The Green, Stradbally, Laois / Ballyragget, Kilkenny / Ballon, Carlow.

Mickey passed away peacefully at Brookhaven Nursing Home, Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny on the 8th September 2023, formerly of The Green, Stradbally, Co. Laois.

Pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Winnie. Deeply regretted by his much loved family, his fourteen children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Mickey will repose at The Presentation Chapel, Stradbally from 3pm to 6pm on Monday, 11th September.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday in the Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally at 11:30am followed by interment in Ballon Cemetery, Carlow. 

The death has occurred of Marian Byrne (née Walsh) of 16 Woodlawn Park, Borris, Carlow.

Marian Byrne (nee Walsh) passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side.

Predeceased by her parents and her sister Carmel. Deeply regretted by her heartbroken husband John, daughters Nicola and Lisa, son Ken, grandchildren Darragh, Ciara, Niamh, Ruby and Mia, brothers, sisters and wide circle of friends.

Reposing at Joyce's Funeral Home, Borris on Sunday (Sept 10th) from 3pm to 8pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday (Sept 11th) at 11am in the Sacred Heart Church, Borris, followed by cremation at Newlands Cross Crematorium at 2pm.

House private Monday morning. 

On Marian's request wear bright colours.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team.
