RIP: Tributes paid to a Carlow native who was 'such a kind person' following her passing
Eileen FLYNN (née Mangan) - Tullow, Carlow / Tallaght, Dublin - Thursday 17th April 2025
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Eileen Flynn nee Mangan of Ashbrook, Tullow Hill, Tullow, Carlow and formerly of Tallaght and Artane, Dublin.
Eileen passed away peacefully in the gentle and kind care of the District Hospital, Carlow on the 17th of April 2025.
Beloved wife of Philip and much loved mother of Lisa, Philip Jnr and Audrey. Sadly missed by her loving husband, daughters, son, brother Joe, sisters Kay, Mamie and Laura, sons-in-law Ronan and Kevin, daughter-in-law Valerie, adored grandchildren Leon, Aoibhe, Eoin, Olwyn, Fionn, Sofia and Cillian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Tributes have been paid in the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"To Philip and family. I am so sorry to hear of Eileen's passing. I had the pleasure of living next
door to her,{for a short time} and was really looking forward to getting to know her better.
She was such a kind person and so interested in everything. She will be greatly missed. May you know God's comfort at this time."
Another reads:
"Sincerest condolences to Phillip, Lisa, Phillip, Audrey all of the grandchildren, sisters and brother and extended family on Eileen’s passing.
She was a lovely woman and will be missed by all her family and friends.
May her gentle soul Rest in Heavenly Peace."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home Pollerton Castle, Carlow (R93 H308) on Easter Sunday from 3pm to 6pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Tullow, Co. Carlow (R93 X802). Burial afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Tullow.
