Tributes have been paid following the passing of local Tullow man

Tributes have been paid following the passing of William (Billy) Lyons of 14 St. Oliver's Villas, Tullow, County Carlow and formerly of Ballyconnell.

William passed away surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff at The District Hospital, Carlow.

Pre-deceased by his wife Nora and daughter Sharon. Sadly missed by his heartbroken daughters Bridget, Noreen, Caroline and Dolores, his brothers Joe and Tony, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, kind neighbours and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:

"Rip Bill my friend going miss our chats at flynns and leaving you home loads times Condolences to Bridget Noreen Caroline Dolores Tony Joe and rest of the family sleep tight Bill "

Another reads:

"May Billy rest in peace condolences to all the lyons family."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Byrne's Funeral Directors, The Square, Tullow (eircode R93 P4F4) on Saturday 27th July from 3pm until 6pm. Removal will take place at 10.40am on Sunday to Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Tullow, to arrive for Funeral Mass at 11am. Funeral procession will follow, passing St. Oliver's Villas for burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Tullow
