Tributes paid for Carlow 'Legend' and 'Gentleman following his passing

Tributes have been following the death of Jimmy Lynch of 159 the Laurels, Tullow Road, and formerly Bestfield, Carlow.

Jimmy passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved husband of Mary, much loved father of Johnny, Mary Ellen, Eleanor, Francie, James, Kathleen and Mickey, cherished brother of Larry, Christie, Charlie, Paddy, Mick, Johnny, Willie, Nora, Maggie, Biddy, Kathleen, Mary, Helen and the late Francie and adored son of the late Mick and Helen.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere condolences to Jimmys Wife and family .Knew Jimmy since I was a child up the Tullow road a Gentleman Always stop for a chat he will be sadly missed by everyone."

Another reads: "May Jimmy get the best bed in heaven he was a sound fella he was a legend look down on all your family and friends at this sad time rest in peace Jimmy lynch"

A third user writes: "Sorry to hear the passing of jimmy the lynch family are a long time around Carlow rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at Carpenter Bros. Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow on Thursday at 5pm until 7pm. Reposing on Friday from 4pm, with removal at 6.15pm to The Holy Family Church, Askea, arriving for Funeral Prayers at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11a.m. followed by burial afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Carlow.
