Carmel O'Shea (née O'Sullivan) - Saturday 6th July 2024
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Carmel O'Shea (née O'Sullivan) of The Downs, Pollerton, Carlow / Castledermot, Kildare.
Carmel passed away suddenly in Kilkenny Hospital on the 6th of July 2024 surrounded by her loving family and partner Eddie.
Carmel is predeceased by her husband Pat, parents Peter and Mary Ellen O'Sullivan. Much loved mother of Linda, Pauric, Greg and Karen. Sadly missed by her brothers John, Patrick and Peter, sisters Maura, Noreen and Dolores. Also missed by daughters-in-law Sylvia and Emer, sons-in-law Fergal and Yasin. Cherished grandmother of Johnny, Ciara, Megan, Amy, Arda, Mike, Mira, Patrick, Greg, Jack and Mark, great-grandchildren Noah and Ellie, aunts Nora and Bernie, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Carmel was a true lady and the best neighbour I could have wished for, always time for a chat, she would text me to apologise if her house alarm went off accidentally for two minutes even though it never ever bothered me but that,s just how she was, just a really nice caring lady. She will be sorely missed and kindly remembered, my deepest sincerest condolences go to all her heartbroken family and friends."
Another reads: "Sincere sympathy to Dolores and family and the O'Shea family on the sudden passing of Carmel.
May she rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements
Reposing in Dunne's Funeral Home Mill Road Castledermot Eircode (R14X317), on Tuesday from 2pm concluding with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday morning at 10:30am to The Church Of The Assumption ,Castledermot arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am.Followed by burial in Coltstown Cemetery.
