Tributes paid for 'lovely kind caring person' following Carlow woman's passing

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Rachael Brennan of Gort Na Howan, Tullow and formerly Kilknock, Ballon, County Carlow.

Racheal passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Waterford Regional Hospital on the 21st of June 2024.

Predeceased by her infant brother Michael. Sadly missed by her fiancé Brian (Hendy) parents Jim and Lilly, brothers and sisters James, Liz, Niall, Denise, Nicholas, Michelle, Antoinette, Adele, Damien and Adrian and their partners, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:

"So sorry to hear of Rachel passing a lovely kind caring honest person she will be missed so much by so many my prayers go out for her her mother lil her father Jim all her brothers sisters and extended family a lovely kind girl may her soul be in god’s hands for eternity I shall miss her dearly god bless all her family and those who were close to her also."

Another reads: "My Sincere Condolences to Lily Jim Brien to Rachael's sisters and brothers also to the extended Brennan and Smithers Families on the sad passing of Rachael. May her gentle soul rest in peace."

A third user writes: "My deepest sympathy to Brian and all of the Brennan family at this sad time. Very fond memories of Rachael from school. May she rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements

Reposing at her sister, Adele’s residence, 14 Ard Na Gréine, Tullow (Eircode R93 TCP0) on Sunday from 2pm concluding at 6pm. House private thereafter please. Funeral arriving to Saints Peter and Paul's Church, Ballon on Monday for 11am Requiem Mass followed by cremation in The Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome, Harold’s Cross (Eircode D6W HY98) at 2.30pm.

Rachael requested that people attending her funeral wear bright colours please. No flowers please. Donations, if desired, to The Irish Kidney Association. Donation box in Church.
