Tributes paid to Carlow man who was 'a great character' following his passing

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Sean Doyle of The Moate, Rathvilly, Co. Carlow.
Sean passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny on the 5th of August 2024.
Predeceased by his loving wife Marie and sister Nancy. Sadly missed by his sons Peader, Noel and Anthony, daughters-in-law Carmel and Maria, sister Kathleen, brothers-in-law Eddie, Pat, Sean and Jimmy, grandchildren Rachel, Conor, Lauren, Natasha, Alisha, Peter and Noel, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and many friends.
Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows:
"Sincere condolences to Anthony, Rachel, Peader, Noel and all the family on the sad passing of Sean. He was such a gentleman and a great character. May his gentle soul Rest in Peace."
Another reads: "Sincere condolences to Peader, Noel and Anthony. Your dad would always give a wave and a hello, may he rest in peace."
A third user writes: "Our sincere condolences to Peadar Noel Anthony and all the Doyle families on the passing of Sean he was truly a lovely man always had time for a chat a real gentleman may Sean rest in peace and may his memories be a blessing."
Funeral Arrangements
Reposing at his residence (Eircode R93 D598) on Tuesday from 12 noon concluding at 8pm. House private thereafter please. Funeral arriving to St. Patrick’s Church, Rathvilly on Wednesday morning for 11 o’c Requiem Mass after which he will be laid to rest with Marie in Rathvilly Cemetery.
