Tributes paid to Carlow man 'who was a pleasure to know' following his passing

Tributes have been paid following the passing of Christy McNally of 39 New Oak Estate and formerly of Ballinaboley, Leighlinbridge, Carlow. 

Christy passed away peacefully on surrounded by his loving family on June 23rd 2024 at St Lukes' Hospital Kilkenny.

Beloved husband of Emby, much loved father of Gerard and Paul, adored grandfather of Rebecca, Ciara, Emma, Dearbhla, Thomas and Sean and cherished brother of Paddy, Michael, Ben, Trish, Mary and Johnny.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, grandchildren, daughters-in-law Olivia and Bernie, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: 

"Sincere condolences to the McNally family on the passing of Christy. He was a lovely gentleman and it was a pleasure to have know him for many years R.I.P."

Another reads: "We wish to express our sincere condolences to Ger and Bernie, Sean and Thomas and the extended McNally family on their sad loss."

A third user writes: "Our deepest sympathy to Paul, and Olivia, Ciara, Rebecca Emma and Dearbhla on the loss of your Dad and Grandad, may he rest in eternal peace, keeping you in our thoughts."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing in Carpenter's Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) for family and friends from 5pm on Wednesday, June 26th, concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening.

A Private cremation will take place at a later date.
