Tributes paid to 'One of a kind' local Carlow woman following her passing

Tributes have been paid following the death of Margaret Murphy (Carroll) of Ardristan, Tullow, Co Carlow on April 28th 2024.

Margaret passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Tallaght University Hospital, Dublin.

Beloved mother of J.P., James and her late twin babies Lornagh and Elaine, cherished sister of Deirdre, Charlie and the late Basil, adored daughter of the late Helen and Jimmy and her partner Brendan.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons and their father John, James’ partner Saoirse, J.P.’s partner Carol, sister, brother, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Tributes have been paid on the condolences section of Rip.ie and read as follows: "So sorry to hear that Margaret had passed away, sending sincere condolences to Deidre and all the family, remember great fun with her at No 2 National school ,she was indeed one of a kind, and always so kind."

Another reads: "JP condolences to you and the rest of your family. It is a sad time for you all. May Margaret rest in peace."

A third user reads: "Sincere sympathy to the Murphy and Carroll family on the sad passing of Margaret. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May her soul rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Reposing at Carpenters Funeral Home, Shamrock Square, Carlow (Eircode R93 C863) on Wednesday, May 1st from 4pm, concluding with a short service at 8pm.

A private cremation will take place at a later date.
