Two Carlow schools were represented at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition in the RDS last week and their students shone bright.

Students Luke Conroy and Oisin Chelmiah (pictured above), from St Mary's Knockbeg Carlow, came second in their category with their project:  'Is being physically active a clever idea?

The research was a statistical analysis of the correlation between academic success and physical activity.

Sean O'Driscoll from Presentation College Carlow was the other Carlow school to make the shortlist for the exhibition and his project was entitled: 'Aerosol Collection for GLOBE'.
