Driver with 'intention to destroy lives' caught by gardaí travelling twice the speed limit in Cavan
The driver was travelling 164kp/h in a 100kp/h zone
Gardaí in Cavan caught a driver travelling almost twice the speed limit along the N3.
A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána, shared an image to popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter) saying: "The driver of this car was detected travelling 164kp/h in a 100kp/h zone along the N3 near Cavan.
"Anyone prepared to drive at dangerously excessive speeds has the potential to destroy lives.
"If not their own, others too."
