Former 2FM stars confirmed for autumn/winter line-up as RTÉ launches new season

Familiar faces set to return to our TV screens over the coming months
A number of high profile presenters who departed from RTÉ 2FM earlier this year will make a return to our TV screens over the coming months, the national broadcaster has announced.
RTÉ has launched its new season of programming which features personalities such as Jennifer Zamparelli and Doireann Garrihy who will present the latest series of Dancing With the Stars while The 2 Johnnies’ Late 'Night Lock-In' will also make a return.
Other high profile presenters who will feature on the small screen during the autumn/winter season include Patrick Kielty who returns as host of The Late Late Show while Dermot Bannon explores a variety of extraordinary living, working and social spaces across Ireland in Dermot Bannon’s Super Spaces.

A brand new series called To Hell & Back with Ray Goggins will see the adventurer and former special forces soldier take A-list Irish celebrities on extreme outdoor adventures in some of the most inhospitable, hostile environments on the planet.
The new season will also feature U2’s Adam Clayton as he examines the rise and fall of the Irish showbands in Ballroom Blitz, those bands who, under the influence of ambitious promoters and in the shadow of social and political challenges, played a pivotal role in shaping modern Irish identity.

Commenting following the launch of the new season of programming, RTÉ's Director-General Kevin Bakhurst, said: “I think audiences of all ages will be captivated by the high-quality Irish drama on offer and entertained by the range of new shows and RTÉ’s comprehensive free-to-air sports coverage.
"In a world increasingly saturated with media choices, competition from other markets, and misinformation, my ambition is that RTÉ will continue to offer unique home-grown public service content and be a trusted source of reliable news. Our job is to tell Ireland’s stories with integrity, accuracy and creativity.”
The new season will also feature live sport and a range of news and current affairs programming, with a particular focus on the upcoming general election.
