RIP: Search for missing pensioner stood down following discovery of body
The body of a 79-year-old, thought to be missing, was found deceased
The search for a missing 79-year-old man has been stood down following the discovery of a body.
Gardaí found the body of a man in Co Longford late Thursday evening and have suspended the search for missing local man, Peter Bohan.
Peter Oliver Bohan was last seen shortly before 1pm on Sunday, May 12 at his home in Cloonellan, Drumlish, Co Longford.
Extensive searches, led by gardaí, the Civil Defence and hundreds of volunteers, alongside the garda air support unit and sniffers, were conducted around the Drumlish area since Mr Bohan went missing.
However, the search for Mr Bohan has since been stood down.
