Takeaway boxes highlighted as contributing factor to Carlow litter issues

Carlow councillor lashes out at ''takeaway boxes'' as a main contributor to local litter issue as discussed at the most recent Carlow County Council meeting on Monday.

Cllr Fergal Browne made his issues known during the discussion of a recent Carlow litter plan at the meeting. He said: "It is disgusting. We should be tracing people littering."

He then went on to tell an anecdote about his own litter picking ventures, and question the amount of waste that is produced by takeaways and drive throughs
