Criminal damages on the river barrow, Carlow Gardai investigate reported damages

A criminal damages investigation is underway by the Carlow Gardai in relation to a chain and rope from a pontoon on the river barrow being cut

Carlow Gardai are investing a criminal damages in which a pontoon was cut loose on Friday March 15th overnight. The incident took place in Tinnahinch, Carlow on the River barrow.

A chain securing the pontoon was cut and the rope securing it to the riverbank was opened and the pontoon was released from the riverbank causing it to float away from its pitch.

If anyone has any information in relation to the incident they are urged to contact the Gardai at Graiguenamanagh at 059 9724222.
