Carlow District Hospital
Carlow district hospital was subject to random inspection by the HIQA on August the 15th and 16th of last year.
The report by HIQA found that Carlow District Hospital was compliant or substantially compliant with 10 national standards and partially compliant with one standard on the day of the inspection.
The report goes on to praise the Carlow District Hospital's person-centred approach to care for patients who spoke with inspectors. They were also "very complimentary" of staff and the care received in the hospital.
"Carlow District Hospital also had systems and processes in place to respond effectively to complaints and concerns raised by patients and or families. The hospital’s physical environment and staffing levels also supported the delivery of high-quality, safe healthcare."
It goes on to talk about how the Carlow District Hospital had monitoring arrangements in place that promoted the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare and continually improved and minimised risks to patient safety.
