In a recent video on X, Carlow Councillor, Fintan Phelan, has revealed the E-Bike service in Carlow Town is set to double its fleet.
In the video he had this to say: "It was great to get confirmation that the E-Bike scheme in Carlow Town is going to be expanded. It is going to go from 50 bikes in the fleet to 100 bikes in the fleet by the Summer and that's going to happen over March and April. I raised this issue at last month's municipla district meeting."
He went on to talk the concerns over the number of bikes available at busy times: "It comes after concerns by residents that there weren't enough bikes at certain times and at ceratin locations and it's great to see those concerns being addressed. The E-Bike scheme has been a fantastic success."
