Carlow Gardaí are investigating a brazen early morning burglary that took place over the weekend.

The incident in question took place at 9am on Sunday morning the 14th of April.

The incident involved five males driving a silver Toyota Avensis car fitted with false registration plates, entered a property at Ballasallagh, Hacketstown at the aforementioned time and date.

They stole a De Walt drill before being alerted by the home owner and subsequently making their escape.

The vehicle was then located by the Gardaí in the Kilmead area of County Kildare later on the 14th at 5pm. It was seized for a technical examination. 

Gardaí in Tullow are anxious to hear from anyone who may have seen this vehicle or any other suspicious activity in the Hacketstown area on Sunday morning to contact them on 059 9181160. 

They are also appealing for any CCTV or dashcam footage that may have captured the suspect vehicle to be made available to them.
