Carlow Councillor Adrienne Wallace provides a timeline for the development of the newly approved Tullow Road Community Centre.
The investment of over €4 million which was announced last week by Minster for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys TD, as part of the €30 million funding for community centres nationwide.
The timeline provided by Cllr Wallace is as follows:
Funding of €4.1 million approved.
Gone to tender - a process that should take 3-4 months.
Work expected to start on the community centre at the end of this year.
It will likely be an 18 month build.
