Three men arrested in Carlow after being intercepted on motorway by Gardaí

Incident occurred on Sunday the 12th of May following a string of reports of car break ins

Three men have been arrested following a string of incidents across Carlow area.

The incidents occurred at 9am on Sunday morning the 12th of May.

Firstly, reports of a number of men attempting to break into cars in the Graiguecullen area, Carlow Gardaí intercepted a car on the Dr Cullen Road that was thought to involved in the incidents. The car failed to stop for Gardaí but was then intercepted on the m9 motorway by Carlow Gardaí and three males were arrested and brought to Carlow Garda Station.

It had transpired that the car they were driving had been stolen from Dublin earlier that morning. All three arrested were being questioned in Carlow in relation to a number of incidents.
