Over the next few days a number of water and road works are set to be in place in Carlow
A number of alerts have been issued for both water works and road works affecting a number of areas around County Carlow over the next few days.
Firstly looking to the water works that are taking place in Carlow over the next few days.
Due to Water Conservation Works, the water serving Shangarry, Clonee, Garryhill and Sheean will be turned off from 10pm on 4th of July to 2am on 5th of July, 2024.
Uisce Eireann and Carlow County Council apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused.
For all mains water and sewerage enquiries, please contact the Uisce Eireann customer care phone line on 1800 278 278 (open 24 hours 7 days a week).
Then looking to the road works as provided by Cllr John Cassin on Facebook:
"Carlow Municipal District will be carrying out surface dressing works on
Thursday 4th July at the following location:
L-1027 Brownshill Avenue 12pm – 7pm approx.

The road above will be closed to the general public for the duration of the works, with the exception of residents who reside on the roads in question. Traffic diversions will be in place.
Motorists who normally use the roads or who drive in the vicinity of the said roads are advised to plan their journey accordingly taking into account possible delays and if possible, avoid the area in question.
Carlow Municipal District and Carlow County Council wishes to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause to members of the public who reside at or normally use the roads in question and will endeavour to have the works completed as quickly as possible.
