A number of Carlow Groups set to receive huge funding of almost €400,000

The funding comes as part of the the Climate Action Fund 2024

A number of Carlow Groups set to receive almost €400,000 in funding

A number of groups all around County Carlow have received huge funding of €371,890 as part of the Community Climate Action Fund 2024.

The funding comes for 8 groups across the local community and plans are in place to spend the funding accordingly:

Tinryland Park - €20,000 - Upgrade of public lighting to energy efficient lights.

Bagenalstown Gaels - €38,690 - Co-ordinated project involving improvements at Bagenalstown Gaels, Bagenalstown AFC and the Community Gardens.

St Patricks GAA Tullow - €39,707 - Solar panels and battery installation 

Carlow Town Hurling Club - €50,000 - Solar panels and energy upgrades to water heating and improved energy efficient windows

Drummin Bog (Subject to planning) - €93,648 - Rewetting of Drummin Bog and installation of walkway.

St Patrick's AFC Graiguecullen - €50,930 - Installation of energy efficient hot water system, replacement of flood lights with energy efficient version, building insulation, water refill station and biodiversity planting.

Myshall Community Centre - €53,319 - Insulation and replacement of windows, as well as bike stand installation.
