Local Carlow School has Conditional Planning application approval

Local Carlow secondary school has planning application for upgraded works conditionally approved by the Carlow County Council.

The planning permission was received by the Council on the 18th of December 2023 and the decision on the planning application was made on the 15th of July 2024.

The planning permission was given conditional approval by the Council (Carlow Live have reached out to the Council in relation to the conditions of this application).

The planning works are listed as follows:

The erection of 12 LED lighting poles (approx 15m in height and max 500 lux output) so as to provide lighting to the hockey pitch and all associated sites.

The development works are proposed to take place at St Leo's College, Dublin Road, Carlow Town, R93PW84.

This site is located within the curtilage of a protect structure St Leo's Convent of Mercy.

An update to this article when the conditions of the planning notice are made and when a decision is fully made by the Carlow County Council.
