Carlow Council announce advanced full road closure in County Carlow

Carlow County Council have announce in advance that road closure will take place in Mill Street, Tullow, Carlow. This is in order to facilitate ESB upgrades. The road works will take place from Monday 7th October to Friday the 11th of October and Monday the 12th October to Friday the 18th October.

From Cllr Will Paton on Facebook:

"Submissions regarding this temporary road closure, required to facilitate essential upgrade works for ESB, may be made by email to seniorengineer@carlowcoco.ie to be received no later than 17:00 hours on Tuesday 3rd September 2024. See the notice published in last week's Carlow Nationalist below.

For the record - this matter is decided by the Chief Executive of Carlow County Council without any input from Elected Members."

From the Carlow County Council:

"Carlow County Council wishes to give a notice of its intention to temporarily close Local Road L-2029 Mill Street, Tullow, from its junction with the N81 at Market Square/ Bridge Street to its junction with the L2029/L2307, Old Chapel Lane to facilitate essential upgrade works for ESB.

Monday 7th October to Friday 11th October inclusive and Monday 14th October to Friday 18th October 2024 inclusive.

Submissions regarding this temporary road closure may be made in writing. Local diversion routes will be in place.

Pádraig O'Gorman."
