Carlow County Council have "taken-in-charge" the Slaney Bank Estate in Rathvilly, County Carlow.

The motion was proposed by Councillor Will Paton and was passed by vote by the council.
From Cllr Will Paton on Facebook:
"I was delighted to be able to support a motion to take Slaney Bank Estate, Rathvilly "in charge" at this afternoon's meeting of Carlow County Council. The Council now assumes liability and responsibility for the roads, public lights, drainage, hydrants, footpaths and public areas in the estate. The Residents are responsible for the upkeep of the grass and shrubberies etc."
