Gardaí are investigating train thief who left at Bagenalstown Train Station

The incident happened on the 29 of January 2024

Gardaí are appealing for information into a train thief who exited at Bagenalstown train station while aboard the Dublin to Waterford City service.

The crime occurred on the 29th of January 2024 and featured on RTÉ's Crimecall this past week.

From the Gardaí crime call website:

"The victim boarded a train and put his bag on the rail above him,and then fell asleep. While sleeping, a male removed the bag from the rail. The suspect then left the train at around Bagnaelstown, Co. Carlow.

The bag contained a beeper, stethoscope and other personal items.

Suspect description:

Aged in his 20’s

Dark hair and moustache

Wearing black jacket, grey hoodie, red scarf, jeans and black hat."
