Carlow Council have launched a new survey for the Carlow public to give their opinion on the Carlow €20 million rejuvenation project.
With new proposals for multiple areas around Carlow Town such as, The Potato Market, Tullow Street, Shamrock Plaza, and Barrack Street.

The proposals for each of the locations are as follows:
Barrack Street - "The Your Carlow rejuvenation proposals would introduce a new public paved linked space and garden in Barrack Street.
This new link would have the benefit of making the town centre more connected, accessible and navigable."
Shamrock Plaza - "Shamrock Plaza will be at the heart of the town’s social scene as part of the €20m rejuvenation proposals for Carlow Town.
Improvements would include café-style public spaces for retailers, with seating zones outside restaurant and bars, as well as new street lighting and attractive raised planters."
Tullow Street - "A new civic space and shared surface in front of the library will be part of an upgraded Tullow Street, featuring enhanced street greening, raised planters and new street furniture.
Tullow Street will be a haven for strollers, with new street greening and street furniture for relaxing.
A new civic space and shared surface in front of the library would frame the upgraded area."
Potato Market - "Locals can take time to mix and meet at a reimagined Potato Market, which will incorporate a covered amenity and recreation space facing the Liberty Tree and Fountain.
Outside The Exchange, a renewed outdoor market and amenity space will be framed by raised planters and integrated street seating."
