The Carlow Pride of Place awards have recently took place at the Mount Wolseley Hotel on the 5th of December.
With a number of winners in different categories as a large crowd gathered to celebrate the awards ceremony.

"On December 5th, Carlow County Council hosted a celebratory evening at Mount Wolseley Hotel Spa & Golf Resort, where a large audience gathered to honour and thank communities for their contributions for the Carlow’s Pride of Place 2024 Awards Ceremony.
The winners in the Towns and Villages Category were the community of Rahanna, while the New Oak Residents Association took top honour's in the Estates Category. Both awards were presented by Coilín O’Reilly, CE of Carlow County Council.
The overall County Winner was announced as An Gairdín Beo, Carlow.
The Michael Deering Cup was awarded to the Biodiversity Garden Hacketstown group in recognition of their exceptional work, with the presentation made by Pat Deering.
The Individual Award went to Pat Melay from #Carrigduff, #Bunclody, in acknowledgment of his years of dedication and service to his community. This award was presented by Eileen Doyle, a Secretariat member of Carlow Public Participation Network."
