Carlow County Council are close to a planning decision for a factory in Carlow Town for extensive works.

The retention planning permission was submitted by Oglesby & Butler on the 25th of November 2024.

The location of the of the factory is on O'Brien Road, Carlow, R93 K030.

The proposed works that feature in the planning application are as follows:

The development will consist of Retention of: 1. Manufacturing Plant Unit 2. Port-a-cabin offices & Welfare units 3.Temporary repair works carried out after fire damage. 4.Reinstatement works to Gas plant area, 5. Precautions and securing of factory). Permission is sought for 1. Assemble plant, including welfare facilities and canteen, 2. bicycle shelter 3. additional car parking and internal service road. 4. New office block over two floors, 5. Demolition works and alterations to existing buildings, 6. Signage, Landscaping and all associated site works.

The planning application by the Carlow County Council is set to be made on the 30th of January 2025 and the decision of the planning application can be found on Carlow Live.
