Carlow County Council's Tullow Municipal District Office gives notice of a full road closure to be put in place in County Carlow.

The road closure will take place on Friday the 7th and from Monday the 10th to Friday the 14th of March

The information comes from Carlow Councillor Will Paton's Facebook page:

"Junction of the L20231 Knockbrack to Ballykeenan, Myshall, Co. Carlow and the Junction of the L60663 Moneygrogh to Aclare, Myshall, Co. Carlow on Friday 7th March 2025 and from Monday 10th to Friday 14th March 2025 inclusive between the hours of 7:00am and 6:00pm.

This road closure will be in place to enhance safety for road users and operatives alike, while structural and surfacing improvement works are carried out from Knockbrack to Moneygrogh.

Alternative routes shall be signposted as shown on the accompanying map via:

LIGHT VEHICLES ONLY (GREEN ROUTES):
From Ballyshancarragh, Kildavin via Aclare into Myshall village (L6066/L7109) and vice-versa
From Myshall village via Clery’s Cross, Ballincrea (R724) to Kilbride Cross (L2023/N80) then joining with:
HEAVY VEHICLES: on the N80 by either going:
North via Ballon-Huntsman’s Cross (L3049) – Fennagh (R724) - Myshall Village (R724) and vice-versa (PINK ROUTES)
South via Whitemills (N80) – Kildavin village (L2028/R724) - Moneygrogh (R724) and vice-versa (PINK ROUTES)
Local access with be maintained for residents and contiguous land owners on approaches to the works only (BLUE ROUTES). THERE SHALL BE NO THROUGH ACCESS!"
