Gardaí in Carlow are investigating a spate of thefts from cars in Carlow Town. 3 different vehicles were stolen from with the incidents taking place in the Green Road area of Carlow.

The incidents occurred in the early hours of the morning last Saturday, the 29th of March 2025. With Gardaí believing that they incidents took place just before 4am.

Two cars in the College Green Estate and one car in the New Street Estate were entered and property stolen from within.

In at least two of the instances, the vehicles were left unlocked. Amongst the property stolen from the cars was a work jacket containing a wallet from one vehicle and a bank card from another.

These bank cards were then fraudulently used in service stations in Kilcullen, Kill and Tallaght.

CCTV footage in the area captured two males attempting cars in one of the estates on the Green Road, as well as trying the doors of houses.

Gardai in Carlow are appealing for any witnesses, CCTV, dashcam, doorbell cam etc to be made available to them to contact them on 059 9136620
