Carlow Councillor unhappy with amount of Council travel on recent agendas

At the most recent April meeting of the Carlow County Council, People Before Profit Solidarity Councillor Adrienne was unhappy about the amount of travel that has been on the Carlow County Council's meeting agendas as of late.

The discussion came about as a motion to approve travel for Councillors to visit Echternach in Luxemburg.

The Councillors on the agenda to make the trip were the Fianna Fáil Coucillors, Andrea Dalton, Ken Murnane, and Fintan Phelan.

Cllr Phelan introduced the motion citing that Carlow has a "friendship agreement" with the town and that they had been invited to an annual festival in the town.

Cllr Wallace was not happy with the amount of travel that has been on the agenda at the recent meetings saying it's a "crazy amount of travel."

Chief Executive Coilín O'Reilly told Cllr Wallace that "she should go."

To which she replied "I wouldn't take free publicly funded trip."
