Permission granted for 7 new terraced homes to be constructed in County Carlow

The decision is subject to a 4 week appeals period whereby appeals can be made to An Bord Pleanála and is not currently a Granted Permission.

Carlow County Council have granted permission for the construction of 7 new terraced homes to be built in Hacketstown, County Carlow.

The planning application was received by the Carlow County Council on the 1st of October 2024 and was submitted by  Edmondbay Development Ltd.

The decision was made by the Carlow County Council on the 9th of June 2025.

The location for the works is set at Mainstreet Hacketstown, County Carlow.

The works in the planning application read as follows:

Two number blocks of two storey terraced houses consisting of 7 houses in total.

'Block A' will consist of 3x 3 bed houses and 1x 2 bed house.

'Block B' will consist of 3x 3 bed houses.

Upgrade the existing entrance and roadway located to the side of "The Friary"" restaurant as a means of accessing the development.

Demolition of existing stone shed.

All associated site works including but not limited to the provision of communal and private open spaces, site landscaping, boundary treatment and connections to the mains supply, stormwater drainage and public sewage system.

The decision is subject to a 4 week appeals period whereby appeals can be made to An Bord Pleanála and is not currently a Granted Permission.
