Carlow Gardaí make arrest of driver driving erratically on suspicion of drink driving

An Garda Síochána in Carlow have made an arrest following a driver suspected of drink driving after they observed the driver driving erratically.

The driver, pending analysis, will face his day in court and disqualification from driving.

The incident happened on Friday last week and the incident was posted on social media.

They posted about the incident on the official An Garda Síochána Facebook page and the post reads:

"In the early hours of Friday morning, Gardaí on Patrol in Rathcrogue, Carlow observed a vehicle being driven erratically.
On stopping the vehicle, the driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving and pending analysis he now faces a day in court & disqualification from driving.
Driving under the influence of an intoxicant can have devastating effects. Don’t take the chance."
