Carlow Pipe Band competing in first World Championships Final just three years after starting out

An incredible achievement
Carlow Pipe Band is competing in their first World Pipe Band Championships at the weekend just three years after the band started out.
The local group finished its domestic season with the IPBA Champion of Champions title.
In a statement on their Facebook page, they said: "2018 has been amazing year for the band so far as we finish our domestic season with the I.P.B.A Champion of Champions title.
"We are off to Glasgow, Scotland today (Thursday) for the World Pipe Band Championships this Saturday.
"Excited to be competing in our first Worlds just 3 years since the band started out."
