Scraggs Alley have added a new twist to their Freshers' Week line-up this week.

They are going with the campaign BE A HEADLINER, where they will be donating €1 from every entry taken to the local organisation Carlow Mental Health Association.

This fundraising is taking place on September 25, 26, 27.

Doors from 10pm and entry is €3 (€1 of which will be donated from every entry).

Scraggs Alley said: "We understand coming to college can be fun, but also understand it can be a tough challenge for young students.

"There are educational challenges, financial burdens and even housing issues aplenty in recent years. All this can affect your mental well-being and we want to make sure there are local facilities to help if needed.

"If you can share the information via your site or social feeds, that would be brilliant.

"We can send you an update of the money raised at the weekend after it is counted. Please also find a Facebook link to video you can embed and social media links to our sites."
