Rathvilly Tidy Towns members visit 2017 winner Birdhill to get 'some ideas and inspiration'

A great idea
Rathvilly Tidy Towns members recently visited the 2017 overall winner of the competition, Birdhill in Tipperary, to get "some ideas and inspiration" ahead of next year's competition.
The north Carlow town has a rich history in the competition having won it in 1961, 1963 and 1968.
It got a mark of 302 this year in the competiton while Listowel, the overall winner for 2018, got a mark of 339.
Birdhill Tidy Towns said: "A lovely morning spent with tidy towns group from Carlow...the weather wasn't kind to us but the company was great."
