The organisers of Electric Picnic have revealed details of the Trailer Park line-up with some new surprises as well as returning favourites.
Now established as the "funny bone" of the Laois festival, Trailer Park is all about laughter, live music and mad encounters with some of the most ridiculous installations anywhere in Ireland, all in modified caravans.
Live music will be performed by the likes of Kelly Anne Byrne, White Horse Guitar club, Dublin Ukulele Collective, New Brass Kings, David Kitt DJ, and Dubh Lee, among many others.
The beloved Gangsta Granny is back with everyone's favourite gaggle of knitting ladies, as well as Nun of That, which will bring you back to the good old days of Irish sex education, and Yonder, a psychedelic bus offering drag for beginners, lollipop-lady classes, and hip-hop for the over 60s.
Terrible Terry presents The EP Open 2024 for golfing enthusiasts who want to show off their skills on a nine-hole course run by a rag tag group of crap golfers, while those looking to relax can watch the fun from the first floor deck of Lord Ganesh's Larder with a chai tea in hand.
Want to do something different? Have a dance at the Ceili Kitchen or get a makeover fit for a dictator and other maniacs at The Propaganda Machine.
Or, if you fancy a break, check out the new piano bar at Salvage Yard, where a full songbook of tunes will be performed by the inescapably brilliant hands of pianist Stephen Ffrench Davis.
Animal lovers can meet pigs Holly and Daphne, the canine population of Charles Watts, Betty Boo and Taylor Swift, as well as Matt Damon and Lola the Shetland horses at My Lovely Horse Rescue.
Others attending include Weather Karaoke, Caravanaoke and Quizivan.
Five new creations are also coming to the area, including ValHELLa Horror, Dolly the Disco Den, Trash Can, Cabaret Caravan, Gypsy Caravan and a few other surprises.
The organisers haven't yet revealed what attendees can expect from the new caravans, and they're likely to remain a surprise until the festival on August 16 to 18.
