The Late Late Show is set to return on Friday night with a host of musical guests to celebrate this year's TradFest as well as some political podcasters and comedians.

Some of Ireland's finest musical talents will join Patrick Kielty on the night to celebrate TradFest such as folk singer and songwriter Aoife Scott, musician Wallis Bird, sean-nós singer Seán Keane and singer Mike Hanrahan.

The TradFest special show has become a favourite among the audience and this year promises another great night of music and entertainment.

In true trad session style, multi-instrumentalist Alan Connor will also be on the show as well as guest fiddler with The Chieftains Tara Breen, folk singer-storyteller Daoirí Farrell and percussionist Robbie Harris.

Dancers Ruth Charles of Riverdance and Jordo and the Legs will also be in studio.

Multi-instrumentalist Josephine Marsh and Nigerian Segun Arkano, frontman of The Yankari Afrobeat Collective, will also perform on the night.

And that's not all! Dublin-born comedian David Nihill will join Kielty to discuss how he overcame his phobia of public speaking and has since become one of the biggest selling Irish comedians in the US.

Lovers of all things politics will be glad to know that Ivan Yates and Matt Cooper will chat to Kielty about their predictions for the year ahead in national and international politics, including how Trump's presidency may affect Ireland.
