Daniel O'Donnell forced to respond to rumours he's sick in hospital amid worry
Irish country music legend Daniel O'Donnell has been forced to respond to social media posts suggesting he was "very unwell" in hospital.
The Donegal crooner appeared in a video on his own Facebook page at the weekend to address what he described as "fake, doctored" pictures of him in hospital.
Daniel made the decision to share the video to inform genuine fans that he was "very well" and to not engage with "scammers" who may be using his image to dupe people.
He said: "I'm just doing a wee message to let you know that I'm feeling very well. I've seen a few pictures up leading people to believe that I'm in hospital very unwell with a picture of me.
"Obviously that's a fake, doctored picture, telling people that I need help. Please ignore all of these things that you see on Facebook. I am very well and I hope that you are well too."

He added: "We can't do much about these scammers but all we can do is let you know not to engage with them, never reply to them and above all, never ever send them money."
The caption on Daniel's video read: "Please watch this video. I'm turning off comments so fake Daniel pages don't comment."
