Carlow Little Theatre return to the stage with psychological thriller 'Gaslight'

Carlow Little Theatre Society are delighted to be returning to the stage of the George Bernard Shaw theatre this evening (Thursday 16) with Patrick Hamilton's acclaimed psychological thriller 'Gaslight’.

The play was the origin of the term ‘gaslighting’ which is the psychological manipulation of someone into questioning their perception of reality, memory or sanity.'

'Gaslight' is set in fog-bound London in 1880, at the upper middle class home of Jack Manningham and his wife Bella. Hamilton's play is a twisting tale of a marriage based on deceit and trickery. Another dark evening in a house with a secret history is interrupted with the unexpected arrival of Detective Rough and with it, the Manninghams' lives are forever changed.

‘Gaslight’ is be directed by Mark Cradock and is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.

The talented cast include:

Zoë Hayden as Mrs Bella Manningham 

Jamie Dockery as Mr Jack Manningham

Paul McManus as Detective Rough 

Gemma Lawlor as Elizabeth

Gaslight will play from Thursday October 16 to Sunday October 19 at 8pm.

Tickets €23 | €21 (including booking fee).

Tickets can be purchased online, in person or over the phone at Box Office. Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
