Bagenalstown meat factory 'under new ownership' and discussions are ongoing over site

Bagenalstown meat factory is "under new ownership" and discussions are ongoing over the site, a senior official at Carlow County Council has confirmed.

Cllr Arthur McDonald brought up the site at this month's meeting of Bagenalstown Municipal District and asked if there had been any progress but added: "Maybe you can't say anything at a public meeting and I'll accept that."

Director of Services at the Council, Bernie O'Brien, said it is "under new ownership and there are discussions going on regarding that site".
