Burglaries in County Carlow have decreased by 15% compared to last year

Burglaries in Carlow have decreased by 15% compared to last year, according to recent report by PhoneWatch.

The report is based off CSO recorded crime statistics.

Two-hundred-and-eleven burglaries occurred in the Carlow/Kilkenny area between quarter three of 2022 and quarter two of 2023. Over nine-thousand homeowners nationally across Ireland have experienced a burglary in the past year.

As expected Dublin accounts for the most amount of burglaries across the country with 3,788.
