Carlow based dance company United Falls tours the world with stellar performance

Emma Martin is a dancer and choreographer based in County Carlow. She has a degree from Trinity College Dublin in Russian and Drama & Theatre Studies and is an associate artist at Visual Centre for Contemporary Art. 

Emma made her first show in 2010, and now produces work through her dance company United Fall since 2018.

Emma's work often combines dance, live music, theatre, opera, film and distinct visual universes, always with the raw expression of dance as its driving force.

United Falls' work 'Birdboy' was first performed in the Visual, Carlow in 2019. They have since gone on tour across the world, performing to audiences in Greece, Austria and many more places. 

This performance uses a bird as a metaphor, we follow the journey through landscape of fear, isolation, fantasy and letting go.

Combining dance, sound and objects the performance becomes a tribute to all the weird kids who don't fit in.

The piece is performed by dancer Kévin Coquelard and is made for both young and adult audiences.
