Carlow college posts picture of this February's balmy contrast with 'Beast from the East' event

IT Carlow has posted a picture of their campus in this February's balmy temperatures and contrasted them with the scene that greeted them in February of last year when the "Beast from the East" cold spell was in full swing.

With temperatures forecasted to go hit 15C in some parts on Wednesday, it is at odds with last year's cold snap and shows the oddity that is Irish weather, or is it the variability of weather in general?

Eitherway, the mild weather isn't going to last too long, there's a storm expected to hit this weekend.
