Carlow Community Policing Unit attend meeting as part of Age Friendly County Strategy

A brilliant initiative
As part of Carlow's Age Friendly County Strategy, Sgt Conor Egan and Garda Essmay Mannix of Carlow Garda Community Policing Unit attended an Age Friendly Committee meeting on Tuesday at Carlow Town Hall.
Also in attendance were the other key stakeholders including Carlow County Development Partnership CLG, Carlow Older Person Forum, Carlow Local Authority, County Carlow Sports Partnership, ALONE, Community Education Service KCETB and the HSE.
This is part of the Kilkenny/Carlow Garda Division's commitment to supporting Carlow in being recognised as an Age Friendly County.
Inspector Anthony Farrell has been appointed as the Older Person Champion whilst Garda Essmay Mannix is the liaison officer with the Carlow Older Person Forum.
