Carlow Gardaí report an increase in phone scams

The Gardaí in Carlow/Kilkenny in recent weeks have seen an increase in the reporting of phone scams.

People are receiving calls allegedly from well-known companies where the scammer seeks bank or personal details or seeks and gains access to personal computers or devices.

Gardaí say these are scams and "do not entertain these people".
