Garda appeal after elderly man in Carlow left shocked when burglars found in home

Gardaí in Carlow are investigating the incident

Gardaí have issued appeal after an elderly man in Carlow was left shocked when he found two burglars found in his home on the Staplestown Road in Carlow Town last week. 

The incident occurred at approximately 12 noon on Tuesday, April 9. 

Two males entered the house through a back door and they took money from a bedside locker as well as the victim's car keys. 

A car battery was taken during the incident. 

When the elderly resident heard the noise and went to investigate the matter, the burglars pushed him out of their way and onto the bed. 

Anyone with information or may have seen anything suspicious is being asked to contact Carlow Gardaí on 059 913 6620.
