Hacketstown Road in Carlow 'busted up'

A busy Carlow road has been described as "Third World" as councillor hits out at local authority.

Cllr John Pender made the remarks at the full meeting of Carlow County Council on Monday when he said: "The Hacketstown Road is destroyed. It is busted up."

He then asked: "Are there plans to resurface it? The road is Third World."
