CARLOW WEATHER: Cloudy start with temperatures to fall tonight (Mar 1)

A cloudy start is expected today (March 1) with some patchy light rain. 

That's according to Met Éireann, which also forecasts sunny spells developing later with any lingering rain clearing during the afternoon. 

Highest temperatures of 7 to 9 degrees with a light or moderate east to northeast breeze. 

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a chilly night ahead.

Temperatures will fall to between 2 to 5 degrees, possibly colder locally under any prolonged clear spell. 

Northeasterly winds will ease light tonight for most, remaining a little breezier along eastern and southern coasts.
